Precision Grinding looks forward to working with new Design Build Engineers, General Contractors, Machine Builders, and Machine Shops. Companies who begin working with us find that we have the capacity, the manpower, the know-how and proven experience to build complex steel fabrications and intricately designed custom machines. Kenneth Martin, our Fabrication Department Manager oversees a small group of steel fabricators with skills far beyond welding.

Our cross-trained, job shop fabricating personnel have years of experience with MIG or continuous stream welding and stick burning technologies. Additionally, our fab work includes torch burning, metal forming, bending, slitting, shearing, punch operation, assembly, and operating straightening presses. Our equipment list includes Iron Workers, benders, and precision fabrication tables to fabricate angle, channel, I-beam, plate, bar, pipe & tubing into items ranging from small robotics pedestals and machine tables to large machine platforms, skids and frames. Our Machine building department has built custom machines as wide as 24' within our 50' bay.  In addition to several smaller jib cranes and fork lifts, there's another 10-ton crane dedicated solely to fabrication projects.

As a specialty fabricator and machine building contractor, we participate with design-build firms and partnerships between architects, engineers, and general contractors to form a team where all the key members are advised and included in a given steel construction project. We look to contribute our expertise early in the project life cycle whereby we can help you deliver a quality project at a fair cost on an accelerated schedule.

Between our normal levels of structural steel inventory and our relationships with the steel mills, we're able to balance our stock plate along with just-in-time bar, channel, I-Beam, pipe and tube inventory for larger projects. 

Precision Grinding is located off the Lakeshore Exit of I-65, between West Oxmoor Road and the Ross Bridge golf course in the Oxmoor Valley area.
